Communion

Why do we consider Communion one of the "basics" of Christianity? In a faith based on spiritual realities, why are we dealing with something so "physical" as plates of diced bread or little cups of grape juice?

Well, one good reason is because Jesus told us to…

"And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying,

'This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.'"

—Luke 22:19

But this week we also want to take a closer look at what Jesus said in particular about Communion as it relates to discerning the Body of Christ. Join us this Sunday as we first look at the Lord's Supper…and then participate together.
